NOTES: Initially natural calls with the bird about 10 meters away, but following playback of the first part, I recorded the remaining parts containing agitated calls/songs with the bird now 5-12 meters away, generally 1/2-2 1/2 meters up in a narrow (5 meters in width) strip of second-growth trees, on one side of which was the road and a slope with scrubby second-growth and on the other side was a small marsh [08¡ 59' 13Ó S, 35¡ 50' 22Ó W, 395 meters - about half way out the row]; following playback, the bird approached and moved back-and-forth in front of me while it gave more agitated ÒcallsÓ; I saw the bird well at this time and described it in moderate detail on the tape; the latter part of the recording was made following quite a bit of playback with the bird now 8 meters away and 6-8 meters up in dense vine tangles about half way up a 10 meter-tall tree; clouding up a bit, calm, 76¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Evergreen Forest, Rural, Thicket/Brush, Second-growth, Scrub, Edge.
