NOTES: Two birds seen on exposed branches about 60 meters away and high up in a dead tree on the slope above the stream opposite the clearing at the base of the hill; the singing bird lacked a tail and the other bird was preening; at the end of the first part, these birds were flushed off by an Empidonomus varius but they later began singing again from a nearby perch that was not in view; partly cloudy but quite hazy, 75¡ [and calm]. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
