NOTES: I saw one bird briefly but relatively well before I recorded this cut; when recorded, the bird highlighted was moving quite a bit about 8-10 meters away and 8 meters up (maybe a little higher), about 2/3 up in relatively open vegetation in the smaller trees in forest on the slope about one-third of way up the hill; this was recorded following my giving Òpygmy-owl whistles,Ó which seemed to bring the birds in to a degree; it is also possible that the calls (possibly begging?) in the background were also by this species, because two birds were heard following playback, in response to which, they gave the same call more consistently but they did not approach; the bird I saw well appeared relatively worn; partly cloudy, consistently breezy, 86¡ F. Response to playback: Normal song. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
