NOTES: Two or three unseen birds, the closest of which was probably 50-60 meters away and low in the somewhat scrubby understory of relatively good terra firme forest about 150 meters beyond the first stream crossing along the right fork of the second spur (ramal) road in the INCRA project; there was a swarm of Eciton burchelli in the area, but these birds were not really all that close to the swarm; this was after I had whistled at the birds, which seemed to get them singing a little more; after this was recorded, I had two birds come in relatively close, give a few churring calls, sing once, and then fly off; largely clear, calm to trace breeze, 85-86¡ F. Number of individuals=UU2-3; Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
