NOTES: This was one of two birds in the immediate vicinity that may have been interacting in some way; the recording began with natural songs by a unseen bird that was back in the taller and denser growth, but in response to playback it came screaming in and perched on an open snag 20 meters away and 3-4 meters up while giving more calls (as opposed to songs) and at a higher rate; this was recorded near the edge of the campina in taller and denser vegetation, with most bushes 2-3 meters in height and separated by grassy areas; most of the trees also showed signs of recently having been burned; low overcast starting to clear, calm, 82¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Scold. Habitat: Evergreen Forest, Savannah, Thicket/Brush, Second-growth, Scrub, Sand.
