NOTES: A male that was well seen as it perched 50-60 meters away and 25 meters up on an exposed branch in a dead snag over a scrubby field (apparently Cecropia but possibly manioc) at the first channel of where the now dry igap¿ just hits the road near the end of the spur road; in response to playback of one song, the bird came shooting in overhead but it did not vocalize; this bird later began singing again but a bit farther back from the road; cloudy, breezy, and probably in the upper 80s to low 90s (the thermometer indicated 93¡ F but it had probably been in the sun). Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, River, Field, Scrub, Edge.
