NOTES: Two birds, apparently a pair, seen moving about, initially 50+ meters away and 18-20 meters up, later 18-20 meters away and 15 meters up, about 2/3 of the way up some relatively small trees at the edge of a small roadside clearing adjacent to tall terra firme forest at the first dip in the road; the birds were loosely associated with a mixed-species flock; initially natural songs, later after playback, in response to which the birds approached and were well seen and gave somewhat different songs more frequently (they sang only intermittently before playback); almost fully overcast, calm, upper 70s; note that I did not do any recording on 12 December 2000 due to rain. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Mate, Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
