NOTES: Calls by a male bird, presumably with its mate heard in the background, which was well seen as it called 6-10 meters away and <1 meter up in the relatively dense undergrowth of somewhat open, scrubby forest with many palms along the second forest trail about 100 meters beyond the sharp turn to the west; the bird came right in following playback and was well seen; partly cloudy, calm, 80-81¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
