NOTES: I heard the first long call at 5:21:01 and then a song before this recording began at 5:24:04 (I missed only one song and maybe tow long-calls; the first song on tape was the bird's second of the morning; unseen bird was initially 30-35 meters away and 25-30 meters up in the same tall tree it used the previous day on the south side of road just beyond the second dip, but later about 25 meters away and 20 meters up in a tree on north side of the road; a second bird singing in the background continued to sing a bit longer than did this bird, but not by much; recorded off at 5:32; clear but hazy, calm. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatoides to Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatoides/dorbignyanus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
