NOTES: Unseen bird was initially 8-10 meters away, later 5-6 meters away, and low (at first a little below eye-level at a dip in the road, later about 2 meters up) in the dense vegetation of some scrubby 3-4 meter tall trees right along the spur road about 100-150 meters from its intersection with the main road through the forest; the first two parts were natural song, the last after playback of itself, to which the response was minimal; although the bird stopped singing and apparently flew off before I began this playback, it did eventually begin singing again from the same area, suggesting that it may have returned silently due to the playback and later began singing; full dense overcast, calm, 80¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Second-growth, Scrub.
