NOTES: I initially think saw the bird moving 15-18 meters away and initially 2-3 meters up in relatively dense undergrowth at the edge of an area where much of the undergrowth had been cleared at upper end of the island on the north side; between the two part of this recording, I saw the female relatively well and others saw the male as well, after which, the singing bird was 10 meters away; this bird seemed to be loosely associated with a mixed-species flock; this was recorded following playback by Luciano N. Naka, I believe of a recording made at this same site the previous year, in response to which the birds approached and were seen; partly cloudy, trace breeze at times, upper 80s. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, River, Island, Second-growth.
