Observation details
Bird roughly the same size as dowitchers, but slimmer and shorter with a slightly downcurved, much shorter dark beak. Black and gold scaled back. Continuing bird found by Gary Woods. Located in the second pond from the west end of the facility, observed from 36.938782, -120.178112. When you're actually there the ruff stands out against the dowitchers and yellowlegs a lot more than it does in photos.
