NOTES: Two birds (one in the background) counter-singing, with the closer bird apparently a female that was 15-18 meters away and <1 meter up at edge of flooded igap¿ about 50 meters south of the grid (Trail 350 South) on an extension of Trail E; we saw three birds (a male and two females) before recording this, but Renata de Melo Valente saw this bird while I made this recording and said that it was a female; this was recorded following quite a bit of playback, in response to which it approached and generally gave a series of sharp chip calls, but it also sang; the strongest response was by a female. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
