Media notes

NOTES: The singing bird was clearly this species and I believe that the calling bird was as well; the songs were recorded after ÒspishingÓ and the calls were recorded following playback of the song; the singing bird was initially 10 m away and 2 m up in the open, but it then moved back to 15-18 m away when it was off-axis; following playback of the song, the calling bird was 5 m away and 1 m up in dense scrub but it was never seen giving this call; given that a flock of birds was present, it is possible that the singing and calling birds were different; birds were in thorn scrub about 200 m up a side road that left the main park road in the vicinity of km. 12-13 [16¡ 48Õ 12Ó N, 93¡ 05Õ 28Ó W, 1125 m [based on GPS]]. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Scold. Habitat: Forest, Deciduous Forest, Scrub.
