NOTES: Bird was 15 m away and 2-3 m up in forest understory amid karst bolders; recorded 75-100 m up a small track that left highway opposite kilometer post 172; in response to playback of prerecorded tape made by H¿ctor Gomez de Silva, the bird approached giving these alarm calls and perched for a short while 2 1/2 m up on a diagonal stem before flying back into relatively dense growth where it was when this was recorded; clear, calm, 72¡ F. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Scold, Emit Alarm. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Second-growth, Rocky.
