Observation details
Apparent Mexican Mallard drake. Uniform dark brown duck, rufous tone to breast. bright yellow bill. I'm sure it had some regular Mallard in it, but definitely not a first generation hybrid. Photographed. Note the slightly upturned tail feathers, and white in the tail, both signs of "Northern" Mallard introgression. However, given the overall color and form of the duck, I say its atleast 75-80%? pure Mexican Duck.
