Observation details
Possibly the first record of this species for the lake (at least in eBird). This bird was at the end of the boardwalk, at the furthest point into the marsh, just before the boardwalk turns right and leads back into the forest. It's an unusual record, but this may be in response to a caterpillar outbreak: I heard Lesser Ground-cuckoos and Striped Cuckoos on other trips (other checklists) this weekend and those aren't very common around the lake normally either. Did not see any Yellow-billed or Black-billed Cuckoos anywhere around the lake this weekend.
