Media notes

Focal recordings of specimen MLB826 / LSU B-96557 (female). Pair associated with mixed-species flock 200 m down up the road from ML126803651. Weak response to playback, especially the male, which I only saw briefly. The female was much more responsive but would disappear for a minute or two before reappearing again. Shot the female and recovered it at edge of large landslide. *****These recordings are part of ongoing research on tyrannid vocal repertoires. Please contact Glenn Seeholzer (seeholzer.glenn@gmail.com) if you are interested in using them for other research projects.*****

Observation details

The expected highland form, with very dark heads.
