NOTES: A family group with at least a male and a juvenile seen foraging in dense, tangled undergrowth with many vines in somewhat scrubby forest along side road near base of slope (looked much like second-growth); when recorded, birds were 12-15 m away and 5-6 m up in mid-levels of small trees in generally scrubby vegetation; at least two birds seen, but possibly more present; I saw a juvenile before recording was made (described briefly on tape with olive on head, sides of breast, and wings), but Luciano also saw a male; this was recorded just above where I earlier took the GPS reading (see file #CAR108); partly cloudy, calm, 90¡ F; this recording combines two files with the bird singing and two more with announcements [= CAR110-113]. ML: Background subject changed from Pyrrhura picta to P. amazonum to reflect current taxonomy. -Jay McGowan 29Apr2015. Number of individuals=IU1+;. Other Behaviors: Establish Flock Contact, Beg, Establish Parent Young Contact, Social Context: Family. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Thicket/Brush.
