NOTES: Natural song of a rufous-morph bird that was well seen eventually; bird was unseen at this time but apparently 40 m away in subcanopy of somewhat scrubby forest along edge of Canga N1 and near edge of plateau; these trees were about 25 m in height [= CAR048]. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Savannah, Edge.
