Media notes

NOTES: Habitat: moist montane type vegetation. Microphone: Gramp DP 5; These colobus or guereza monkeys are very aboreal and the most specialized feeders of all monkeys - they feed almost exclusively on leaves. this recording features the typical call of the male of this species. the "black and white" Colobus is very territorial, and the males can be heard vocalizing like this very morning and evening and on bright moonlit nights. these primates are one of the most beautiful, and unfortunately their skinks are very popular for rugs.
