Media notes
NOTES: purrs, contact clucks, and Whee!......tail-flagging throughout. Don't know what got them so aroused/upset...i got there when they had already started calling like this. Might have to do with their location at the time: in the midst of a patch of guava, which is a highly prized, somewhat clumped, and seasonal resource which attracts a number of lemurs and birds often foraging at the same time not far from each other....could get tense. Their rate of vocalizing, like fulvus, seems to increase with tail-flagging. Also a number of tourists at that time in that place. Coracopsis in the background. Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm, Perform Visual Display, Social Context: Troop. Habitat: Rainforest, Montane Grassland, Clearing.
