Media notes
NOTES: "gag" call from a great distance. Loses it's piercing quality somewhat when heard from so far away, but still unmistakely the Eulemur fulvus rufus "gag" call. The "gag" call may function as a lost call, collecting call, and as an high arousal/alarm call. It does occur with some regularity around dusk. Animals uttering the gag call will almost always be tail-flagging simultaneously...this is why I checked visual display on the Bio/Behav. screen LNS NOTE: Unbroken cut with internal recordist announcement/handling noise gain change (MJA, 29 June 2005). Other Behaviors: Perform Visual Display, Emit Alarm, Social Context: Troop. Habitat: Montane Grassland, River.
