Observation details
At 1047 at the reach 3/4 boundary, heard a single passerine make 2 different calls in flight a "pr-d-d-t" call with 4 or more syllables, dry and reminiscent of very long WETA call, and somewhat husky, downslurred "chew?" whistles. About the size of a VESP and roughly that color, a light tan-gray from what I could see of the underside. Kind of a gray/dusky wash across the breast. Definitely not SNBU (which I know has similar-sounding calls to LALO) - no white patches in wings. Might have had some white in the tail - couldn't tell. Flew to the E or SE at ca 2x shrub height with undulating flight. 1 poor photo. Then at 1100, I heard a similar long "pr-d-d-t" call, then saw and recorded a second individual in flight. Will examine photos and audio and confirm that I can rule out MCLO.
