Observation details
At 1213, saw at least 7 in vocal flight over the W part of reach 3 at ca 3x shrub height. Between 1233 and 1243, saw a group of 12 or more foraging mostly on Alnus incana cones in and alder partly covered with Clematis ligusticifolia, ca 15 m above the diversion. At least 5 were still present there at 1250. Saw at least 1 nip a few apparently empty Clematis inflorescences off too. At 1302, likely the same AMGO flock flew overhead, up to the rocky draw, then back overhead with lots of "perchicoree" calls; counted 15 if not 16. At 1700, I was still hearing at least a few AMGO perched near the diversion, probably in an Alnus incana.
