Observation details
foraging around muddy edge. tringa with bright yellow legs. smaller proportionately overall compared to greater yellowlegs; smaller dainty bill with shorter legs. from bill tip to tail tip its the same length as a killdeer so picture of those 2 in close proximity included. high pitched double 'toot toot' call when flying. ACCESS: I parked along the north end along Echo Ave where the stream crosses under the road and walked south completely around the wetland. This was a 1.65 mile loop. The best habitat was just north of the railroad tracks, but there was also some good habitat south of the railroad tracks. The area is mostly surrounded by industrial buildings. May be able to access this area from another route.
