Observation details
At 0804, I noted lots of bird movement downstream of reach 4 in the riparian shrubs, and heard a single "clear!" call from a flicker. I then spotted the flicker, a male, bark-gleaning in a dead Alnus incana E of reach 4. At 0812 I saw the male flicker again briefly, perched on an Alnus incana branch. When he flew I noted yellow remix shafts, thus an intergrade (combined with RSFL-type face pattern).
