Observation details
Showed up at 10:32 on the Salvia. Then kept coming back so I could get some pics. I need the bird perched to get a really good pic. But I did what I could. I am not up on the id points (and I wouldn't call it myself) to differentiate between BC Hummer and RT Hummer. I sent to Michael O'Brien. He said RT. So I am entering as RT! I will update this if the hummer ends up being banded. I would like to see again also and try for better pics. It needs to come to the feeders for that for me. I did hear the bird. Sounded like a RT. The contrast between the face and underparts, the shoulder and underparts is distinct. Not the indistinct that a BC usually shows. The crown is a bright green - another id point for RT.
