Observation details
Ca 0805, heard 2 calling occasional "zeet"s from graminoid-dense stretch of reach 4 E of red culverts. Heard 1 LISP in reach 3. Later, at ca 0950, 2 LISP seen in close (1 m) proximity to 1 SOSP in reach 3; 1 photographed feeding at edge of disturbed earth. At 1102, a LISP flushed from grasses (mostly Bromus inermis with yellow mustard) about 10 m from the stream and flew to the branch of a Salix, where I got a video of it preening for a few minutes. About 150 m above the diversion. Still preening there at 1106. At 1317, a LISP flushed to an Alnus incana from Glycyrrhiza lepidota and grasses on the E slope of the raised hill. Noted tail appearing long and broad in flight - apparently as long as the body.
