This 1st Fall male Scarlet Tanager was seen between the "stick" pond & the former southern pond

Observation details

While birding the smaller western most pond at Dairy Mart this morning Sonja and I spotted a female type “tanager” at about 7:30. It hit the trees on the western side and then flew over towards the larger pond. Judging by the overall greenish-yellow plumage, relatively small bill, solid black scapulars and greenish edges to dark folded secondaries we believe this is a 1st fall male Scarlet Tanager(see photos).
