Observation details
Mega: incredible; reported to me as odd Spizella and presumed CCSPxCHSP hybrid (the observers who had left the bird and continued birding so I didn't know if it might still be around). I was excited to re-sight the bird and find it to be a Brewer's Sparrow! The bird was mostly feeding in path near Ice Pond but later moved up hill to yard above Ice Pond; when I first saw the bird it was as close as 20 feet and it was clearly identifiable as a Brewer's Sparrow with some study; shortly after the bird sang a few times and further solidified the ID; I'm grateful to Lyle for mentioning his odd sparrow!; many photos; and audio; First Maine Record.
