NOTES: This bird was seen clearly as it sang while perched in the open about 25 m away and 1/2 m up in a small shrub on far side of a small draw below the trail about 300 m out the trail; as is evident from the recording, this bird was in a somewhat less protected spot in an open draw lined with dense Coastal Sage Scrub; a family group was seen and recorded in this area all morning (these birds also highlighted in cut #05-RDAT05-05); low 50s, breezy; this is an unbroken cut with an internal announcement. [This represents the song. Quality unchanged (2) - CAM - 21 October 2005]. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Evergreen Forest, Chaparral.
