NOTES: Unseen bird was now 25 m away and about 2 m up in same general where recorded in cut #05-RDAT04-08; I did some playback and obtained no immediate response, but the bird eventually began singing; recorded in Coastal Sage Scrub near saddle in Rattlesnake Flats Trail about a half-mile above Coon Creek Trail; wind was consistent but this spot was somewhat sheltered. [This represents the song. Quality unchanged (2-1) - CAM - 21 October 2005]. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Evergreen Forest, Chaparral, Scrub.
