NOTES: Several hummingbird feeders on northeast facing slope above Beatty's orchard at the base of Miller Canyon; many hummingbirds present; female Broad-billed present but never called; at least 3 (and probably 4-5) male Magnificent Hummingbirds but no females certainly seen; closest feeders were 2 m away, furthest 6-7 m away and all 1/2 to 1 1/2 m up, most hanging from small juniper and scrub oak trees; following second announcement, I moved to a point 4-10 m from feeders; upper 70s, clear, breezy (intermittent 10-15 knot breeze, now coming up the canyon); unbroken recording with two internal announcements. Number of individuals=AM3-5;. Other Behaviors: Scold, Fight. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest, Canyon.
