Observation details

Discerned from the large numbers of Canada geese by smaller size, shorter neck, rounded rather than slanted head, and specially by shorter, stubbier bill. Examination of photographs show a blue-gray cast on mantle with paler, clean-cut fringes to feathers compared to the rich brown cast of the contiguous Canadas. Photos.
