Reporter: Tina Toth Observer(s): Tina Toth Accept/Reject: A Evidence Category: 2PLK Vote Comments: Photos accompany report. Date: 15 October UTME: 394357 UTMN: 4746727 UTM Zone: 13 Datum:NAD 83 92-021 Debating on this one: Zachariah Hutchinson : Buff scapular edging, brownish tail bar, notched pale edging to tertials, pale secondaries, and lack of any scapular or covert molt would all seem to indicate a Mew Gull. Nicholas Komar: Juv RBGU are never this brown. I agree with Mew Gull. Flattish head shape and relatively large bill size would indicate a male.Put this to the Gull ID facebook page and got another vote for Mew, and another comment: Brooks Onley A student of gulls but no expert, I do think that that "Roman nose" look and the more or less uniform scaliness of the mantle call for Mew, and that the robust mein is an artifact of viewing angle and posture.
