Media notes
ML: This recording was archived as Elaenia parvirostris, but Jeremy Minns provided the following notes about the call heard: "E. parvirostris does not have in its repertoire the short whistle recorded in this cut, which is characteristic of E. chiriquensis and E. chilensis. According to the announcement, the recording was made on 7 Dec 2003, the same date as ML120843, which is definitely E. chiriquensis, so this is likely to be E. chiriquensis as well. It is definitely not E. strepera, which was mentioned as a possibility in the announcement." Based on these notes, and in consultation with the recordist, the subject of this recording has been changed from Elaenia parvirostris to E. chiriquensis." -Matt Medler, 16 Dec 2018. Recordist's Notes: called it E. strepera (sound not easy to reference- but commonly heard in area. GPS:19L 0572454 8372694; Hab:SavannaYungas Scrub.
