Observation details
This was the same bird I saw yesterday, in exactly the same location on the path, then flying into the willows. It was picking at weed seeds, and pecking in the gravel. It was so windy, with gusts from the NW at 18 mph (I checked my phone while I was watching the Snow Bunting) that there were no other small birds foraging, just the Snow Bunting. I could hear some Chickadees calling in the willows, but they did not make themselves visible like yesterday. Also no Robins, and yesterday there were 12 Robins all sitting together in a tree.. It was amazing to me that the Snow Bunting went about its business despite the wind. Even the Crow I saw had some trouble flying. Only the Ring Billed Gulls looked competent in their flying in the wind.
