Observation details
observers George and Andrea Robbins, Andrea saw two medium-sized shorebirds, with bold white wing stripes, without protruding legs, flying. They were not flying like Spotted Sandpipers. She finally relocated them on the left shoreline. We observed them by scope enough to see that they were the same size and shape, both with longish drooped bills, feeding by probing. One bird was beige on top, light below. The other had some residual breeding plumage so was a tad more reddish brown on top. Phone scoped image shows bill size and shape.
