Observation details
Got one shot of this bird and initially believed, based on behavior and passing impression of appearance that it was a hermit thrush. Upon further inspection, it has no rusty tail and therefore not a hermit thrush or veery. It does not have a bold eyering with buffy behind the auriculars and in the throat area, so I don't believe it is a Swainson’s thrush, either. Could be a Bicknell’s thrush, but I leaned toward gray cheek because Bicknell wasn't on the suggestion list for this place at this time of year and because photos I've seen suggest Bicknell has a slightly more rusty face, which this bird does not seem to have.
