Observation details
Found a few hours earlier by Marcy Scott. Appears to be a bright immature. Chunky warbler with silvery gray head and complete white eye ring. Citrus yellow throat and underparts with faint dusky grayish shadow across the breast. White lower belly and undertail coverts. Dark (blackish) streaks on flanks. Mantle pea green, dark wings with whitish edges, two thin white wing bars. White undertail with black tips to the primaries creating a blackish rectangle at the end of the tail. Flesh colored bill with slightly dusky top to the upper mandible and tip of both mandibles. Flesh colored legs and feet. Silent. Seen feeding at or below head height in dense brush. This constitutes a second Dona Ana County record, the first being found and photographed by Nancy Stotz on the West Mesa (Chandler Tank Sep. 23, 2013).
