Observation details
Was watching the fights between two sets of resident and winter visitors ( Golden Oriole and Black hooded Oriole, Ashy drongo and white bellied drongo) when a hepatic cuckoo sat on an open branch. Initial thoughts were common cuckoo or grey bellied , however this was smaller than common cuckoo and a bit larger than grey bellied. Main Pointers as compared to grey bellied hepatic : heavy barring in the underbelly, dark coloration in the head and crown, yellow ring around the eyes, tail band pattern. Have taken photo phone + bino as record shot. Will upload.
