Observation details
Late for this species here, it was with Myrtle Warblers and foraging along the south-facing bank of the dike at the south end of Lake Josephine. It was a slightly duller and greener Yellow Warbler, though apparently not as gray and dull as amnicola types--a short-tailed parulid yellow below with blurred and obscure greenish or faintly dusky streaks on breast (vague pattern), yellow eyering on blank face with black eye; bill was horn colored; the back was greenish; the greater coverts on the wing showed narrow bright yellow outer margins; the tail was short and showed yellow on the inner webs of the outer rectrices.
