Observation details
The lack of yellow tones on the underbelly and general pale appearance is outside of the range for Blue-headed Vireo even in the fall. As a spring bird, a Blue-headed Vireo would be bright and vivid, with a significant degree of yellow on the underbelly (comments per Mark Robbins). This sighting is being re-visited by the KBRC in light of the new information, including a recording of its call and better photo.
