Observation details
Continuing bird first identified on 10/3. Appears to be nearing adult plumage as white crown not as extensive and bill color still rather dull. A couple of iridescent feathers starting to come in on the nape but otherwise fairly uniform with the rest of the grayish-purple body feathers. Pretty much stayed in one spot but would disappear behind a dense thicket and re-emerge 20-30 minutes later. Presumably feeding on berries in the back corner of its roost as it pooped several times a blackish paste, similar in consistency to jam. Observed almost the entire time, most of it at rest. Didn't seem bothered by people.
