Observation details
Continuing. A mostly white sulid with a distinctively greenish-yellow colored bill, more saturated with green near the base. Dark brownish primaries and retrices contrasting sharply with the white plumage. Dark dull greenish-gray legs and feet. Glowing yellow iris. Fair bit of dusky brownish coloration on the rump suggests an immature molting into adult plumage (fair bit of molt present on flight feathers). Bill color helps to eliminate the similar looking Nazca Booby (as does range). Unmistakable with any other expected sulids on the Texas coast.
