This is a two channel recording with the hydrophone on the left channel and voice announcements on the right. 12Nov2003 SAS. Reel notes: "1115 hrs. - 1st sighting. 27 Aug. 1971. Pilot whales, BQR-3 filter out @ 7.5 ips. Close group of 7, 100 yds, or less most of the time - all the way to end. Good sounds - low noise, nr end last 10 min good loud whistles - sudden stop - V quiet - then much clicking + buzzing then quiet again nr end of tape, then few minutes at end. Unid Porp. also. Recording started at 1230. Dual call start - +12 min ~1240 hrs." SEAOCEAN. Other Behaviors: Whistles, Clicks, Squeals.
