NOTES: This is the first of a series of recordings made on the week of 16November2003 on Horn Rock Island and Green Rock, Bermuda. Recordings of the Pterodroma cahow began nightly at the first sighting of a bird and continued for at least two hours. This first sighting happened at 1800hrs +/- 5 minutes every night during this week. The evening courtship displays begin with little vocalization and then cresendo before slacking off. During the editting of these tapes, long stretchs of silence or distance birds have been deleted. These vocalizations remain intact of the original field tapes.
