Media notes
Same bird as in ML116884041, giving two differente form of calls. An unusual call to me, at the beginning, very soft and low (slightly below 2KHz), consisting of repeated beats, starting at 1sec and finishing on 12.4sec of the timeline. I saw the bird with my naked eyes as it gesticulated on each beat. And the usual call at the second half of the recording, from 41.9sec to 53.3sec of the timeline. Bird was clinging to the main trunk of a Croton tree (Croton magdalenensis), some 15m above ground and 20m from microphone. Small patch of forest surrounded by pastures but connected (after the road) to a large tract of premontane secondary forest, well preserved. The bird flew in from this large track of forest.
