Princess Parrots

Observation details

6 Princess Parrots initially sighted perched atop a dead bush on sandhill ridge in the early morning. Identified in the first instance by long tail and general jizz in silhouette. The birds then dropped down into the valley on the far side of the sandhill to feed among the spinifex and desert ground covers. They appeared to be relatively un-phased by our presence, continuing to feed on flowering shrubs and moving every so often to different patches. Photographed
